Our Outreach Initiatives

At NewLife Community Church our Outreach Initiatives reflect our commitment to serving both our local community and beyond with compassion and purpose. Through acts of service, partnerships, and community programs, we share the love of Christ in practical and meaningful ways. We believe outreach is not just something we do—it’s who we are as a church.

Bags of Hope: Community Food Distribution

We at NewLife Community Church were able to achieve our vision by successfully making this project a reality, all to the honor and glory of God. We were able to bless sixty-five (65) families with bags and boxes of food across the communities of St. Lucy, St. Peter and parts of St. Andrew. The Clear Joy Nursing Home, Free Hill and Josey Hill communities also benefitted from this community outreach.

"OPERATION: Jesus Saves" Back-to-School Community Drive

Through the generosity and efforts of our Ministry Directors and members we were able to surpass the initial goal and blessed sixty (60) children in and around our district/ neighborhood with tangible back to school supplies. The supplies included back packs, printed cloth masks, pencil cases branded 'Jesus Saves', disposable masks, hand sanitizers, pencils, pens, notebooks and lots more.

We thank God for this opportunity to be able to give back to our community and bless our future leaders. A shift is happening and we are working.

Water Distribution Drive

The NewLife Community Church Family, in the heart of the community with the community at heart successfully completed its inaugural Water Distribution project. The community often plagued with water outages was elated to see the Bennett's Family providing free water for collection, and even delivering to those persons who could not get out to collect at the church. The project was supported by Corporate Barbados, as well as friends, colleagues and family of the members of the church. Two hundred and fifty (250) cases of water were distributed on the day, and showers of blessings were an additional touch to the day.

Christmas Food Drive

Our church presented families in need in our neighboring districts with hampers of non-perishable food items and toiletries. The project was supported by the friends and family of the NewLife Community Church family.

Jefferson Phillips Educational Grant

In honor and recognition of the outstanding contribution made by Minister Jefferson Phillips to both Education and the work of the Lord through his ministry at Bennett’s Temple and beyond, are pleased to establish The Jefferson Phillips Educational Grant. This grant will be awarded annually to a suitable and deserving candidate over the next five (5) years.

In light of the challenging times we are facing, and in an effort to ease the financial burden on families within our church and community, this educational grant is intended to support the academic expenses of a child entering secondary school or currently pursuing secondary-level education in Barbados. Through this initiative, we aim to invest in and encourage our youth as they strive toward their educational goals.
